What is Mesterolone 50 (Astera Labs)?

Astera Labs mesterolone in 50mg tablets, 50 to a sachet. Proviron at the strength for people running it at the top of the range.

Also sold as Proviron, Provironum or mesterolone.

Mesterolone is a DHT derivative that cannot aromatise and, unusually for an oral, is not 17-alpha-alkylated. It binds strongly to SHBG, the protein that holds testosterone in an inactive state, which frees up more of whatever testosterone is already in your system. That, rather than any anabolic effect of its own, is what it actually does.

Mesterolone 50 benefits

Frees up testosterone already in your system by binding SHBG
Not 17-alpha-alkylated, so the liver is not what limits it
Cannot aromatise, and mildly reduces conversion from other compounds
Commonly used for libido and a harder look rather than for size
Can be run for longer than an alkylated oral, because the usual ceiling does not apply
50mg tablets suit the higher 50 to 100mg range

Mesterolone 50 dosage

Standard: 50mg per day, which is one tablet
Higher end: 100mg per day, two tablets
Frequency: Once or twice daily
Half-life: About 12 hours
Cycle length: Can run the length of the cycle, the liver is not the limit

At 50mg per tablet, one tablet is a full standard dose. If you want to sit at 25mg, the 25mg tablets are the better buy rather than halving these.

Running it alone achieves very little. Mesterolone frees up testosterone that is already there. At 100mg a day it also becomes noticeably suppressive, which is worth knowing before you sit at the top of the range.

Who is Mesterolone 50 for?

People running mesterolone at 50 to 100mg a day alongside a cycle, where a tablet is a whole dose.

PROVIMED 25 is the same compound at 25mg, which is where most people actually sit and the better choice if you have not run it before.

Before you run it. Mesterolone will not build muscle. It is a very weak anabolic and anyone buying it expecting size will be disappointed. What it does is free up testosterone you already have and firm up the look, which is a support role rather than a headline one. It is not 17-alpha-alkylated, so it is not hepatotoxic the way the other orals here are, but it is not harmless either: it is strongly androgenic, so hair loss and acne are live risks if you are predisposed, and it does suppress your own production at higher doses, contrary to what is often claimed. It does not aromatise, so the estrogen management guide applies to what you run alongside. Bloodwork is how you track it. Not for anyone under 18, and not for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to use Mesterolone 50

Swallow with water, once or twice daily. It can be taken alongside food. No cycling limit is imposed by the liver.
