Levothyroxine Sodium (T4)

What is Levothyroxine Sodium T4 50 (Astera Labs)?

Astera Labs T4 in 50mcg tablets, 50 to a sachet. The gentle half of a thyroid protocol, run alongside T3 or on its own for an underactive thyroid.

Also sold as T4, L-thyroxine, Thyrax, Levoxyl, Euthyrox or Synthroid.

Levothyroxine is synthetic T4, the storage form of thyroid hormone. Your body converts it to T3, the active hormone, at the rate it decides it needs. That is what makes it the gentle one: it tops up the pool your thyroid draws from rather than forcing the metabolic rate up directly.

Levothyroxine T4 50 benefits

• Runs alongside T3 to keep the T4 pool topped up while T3 suppresses your own output
• The standard treatment for an underactive thyroid, and the safest thyroid hormone to take
• Far gentler than T3, with a much lower risk of overshooting
• Long half-life, so one dose a day holds levels steady
• Makes coming off a T3 protocol smoother, because there is something in the tank while your thyroid restarts
• 50mcg tablets, which is a standard replacement dose

Who is Levothyroxine T4 50 for?

Two uses. As an add-on to a T3 protocol, keeping the T4 pool topped up while T3 suppresses your own output. And on its own, as the standard treatment if a panel shows your thyroid is underactive.

THYROMED 50 is the same 50mcg from Deus Medical in a boxed blister.

How to use Levothyroxine T4 50
