Two uses. As an add-on to a T3 protocol, keeping the T4 pool topped up while T3 suppresses your own output. And on its own, as the standard treatment if a panel shows your thyroid is underactive.

Before you run it. On its own, with a normal thyroid, T4 will not do much for fat loss. Your body decides how much of it to convert, so adding more of the storage form largely means converting a smaller share of it. That is not a fault, it is what makes it safe, and it is why T4 is the support half of a thyroid protocol rather than the engine. Where it earns its place is alongside T3, which suppresses your own T4 output while you run it, and as a treatment in its own right if a panel says your thyroid is genuinely underactive.
