What is THYROMED 50 (Levothyroxine Sodium T4)?

THYROMED 50 is T4, the gentle half of a thyroid protocol. It runs alongside T3 to keep the pool topped up, and it is the standard treatment on its own if your thyroid is underactive.

Also sold as T4, L-thyroxine, Thyrax, Levoxyl, Euthyrox or Synthroid.

Levothyroxine is synthetic T4, the storage form of thyroid hormone. Your body converts it to T3, the active hormone, at the rate it decides it needs. That is what makes it the gentle one: it tops up the pool your thyroid draws from rather than forcing the metabolic rate up directly.

Who is THYROMED 50 for?

Two uses. As an add-on to a T3 protocol, keeping the T4 pool topped up while T3 suppresses your own output and making the come-down easier. And on its own, as the standard treatment if a panel shows your thyroid is underactive.

What it is not is a standalone fat burner for someone with normal thyroid function. T3 is the compound that raises metabolic rate directly. Astera Labs sells the same 50mcg in a sachet.

How to use THYROMED 50

Swallow with water in the morning on an empty stomach, at least half an hour before food. Keep it away from calcium, iron and coffee, which all reduce absorption.
